5th Annual Make Someone's May Day Program
Make Someone’s May Day
Support United Way of Horry County’s
May Day Baskets for Seniors Drive

For four years now the United Way of Horry County has asked for the community’s help in a program called, Make Someone’s May Day! Over 500 baskets were delivered to elderly shut-ins during last year’s May Day program. The volunteers got plenty of smiles from the seniors when the baskets were delivered.

The goal of the “May Day” program is to provide baskets filled with goodies and personal items to homebound seniors identified by United Way community impact partners, Horry County Council on Aging and Mobile Meals.   Horry County Council on Aging and Mobile Meals of the Grand Strand provides a meal program for homebound seniors throughout our county.   These clients receive a nutritious hot meal delivered to their door 5 days a week by an agency volunteer.

This year, CAMP donated $100 to go towards the May Day Program. Thanks to Julie Kopnicky of United Way of Horry County for helping CAMP prepare the baskets.

"Our Sincere thanks to you for your involvement in the 5th Annual Make Someone's May Day program. Thanks to your contribition there were 517 baskets given to homebound seniors this year."- Julie Kopnicky.
