CAMP recognizes and appreciates the valuable contributions of all who help make CAMP a successful club. Thanks to all the committee chairman and committee members for their hard work through out the year.
To show our appreciation, this year CAMP gave out volunteer awards!
"Home Run", April Garner
Last year, April Garner was awarded the Volunteer of the Year and for good reason. Just like last year, April has served on multiple committees including: communication, public service, ADDYs. She has consistently been there for CAMP and is always a team player. That is why we are awarding her the "Home Run" award for always scoring one for the team!
"On Deck", Julie Sluss
At the beginning of the year, Julie Sluss approached CAMP to say she wanted to serve on a committee and get involved. Not only did the Club Achievement Chairman, Amy Miller snatched her up, but she also helped the membership chairman during the monthly meetings. Thanks Julie for being "On Deck" with CAMP!
"On Deck", Kathryn Tilghman
One of the "Oldies", Kathryn Tilghman has been an active member of CAMP since its inception. Always excited and motivating, Kathryn is always ready and willing to offer advice and guidance when it comes to CAMP matters. Kathryn, you have always been "On Deck" for CAMP, thank you!
"Slugger", Jim Lewis
Jim Lewis was a God send this year! Not only did he coordinate and handle all the details for AV equipment throughout the year for our monthly luncheon programs, he gave CAMP an incredible non-profit rate. Always there for the programs and membership chairpersons to bug, Jim has been a "Slugger" by going the extra mile to make sure he could accommodate our needs.
"Infielder", Tamika Gore
Tamika Gore has helped the public service committee cover all the bases when it comes to securing free advertising for CAMP’s multi-media public service campaign for Waccamaw Community Foundation. Because Tamika covered everything from first base to home plate, we would like to award her the "Infielder" award!
"Outfielder", Jack Wilson
Thanks to Jack Wilson CAMP was able to get all the ADDY collateral printed for free this year! And if that wasn’t enough, we was also the creative director for the ADDY Campaign. Because Jack covered left, center and right field, we would like to award him the "Outfielder" Award! Thanks Jack!
"Fast Ball", Elisha Kilby
As the program chairman’s right hand women, Elisha Kilby has assisted with programs through out the year. Recently, she hit a fast ball out of the park by coordinating this luncheon program in Rebecca Feagin’s absence. That is why we would like to award her the "Fast Ball" award because nothing gets by her!
"Stepping Up to the Plate", Abby Pinder
"If it wasn’t for Abby Pinder, the Public Service committee wouldn’t be where it is today" Quote John Trudeau, PS Committee Chairman. She handled everything from setting up meeting, giving feedback on creative, to communicating WCF needs to the PS committee members. Abby really "stepped up to the plate" this year by volunteering to be the PS Co-Chairman.
"Grand Slam", Andrew Parness
Andrew Parness went above and beyond the call of duty this year by donating all the printing for the second chance prom fundraiser. Printing included posters, tickets and a multi page program. With the bases loaded, Andrew really pulled through with a "Grand Slam"! Thanks Andrew!
"Rookie of the Year", Julie Nelson
Julie Nelson, a new member who joined in November, not only has perfect attendance to the monthly luncheon programs, but she also serves on the public service committee and designed the collateral for the multi-media campaign CAMP is putting together for WCF. That is why we are awarding her the "Rookie of the Year" Award. Thanks for being such an active members, Julie!

"Stepping Up to the Plate", Paula Beckham
Paula Beckham stepped up to the plate this year when it came to the ADDY Awards. Not only did she secure the Palace Theatre for the judging after we ran into problems with the original venue, she worked the deal with The House of Blues were we had the ADDY Awards Gala. Thanks Paula for saving us and "Stepping up to the Plate" on the ADDY Committee!

"Perfect Game", Shannon Thomas
Shannon Thomas really went all out this year to put together a wonderful advertising campaign for CAMPs fundraising event the 2nd Chance Prom. Not only did she design the whole campaign and get free advertising, she was instrumental in the decorations of the evening. Shannon had a "Perfect Game" for the wonderful work that she did for the 2nd Chance Prom.
